11th Annual RPS Flower Show Exhibit and Competition 2025 (Deadline Mar 1).

We are excited to announce the 11th Annual RPS Flower Show Exhibit at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, located near Roswell City Hall at 950 Forrest St. Roswell, GA 30076

This is a juried exhibit open to Roswell Photographic Society Members.

Current RPS members may submit up to 4 photos for a single entry fee of $25. This exhibit will be juried by an outside judge and participants will be notified as to which images are selected for inclusion in the show. The show will display 26 images.

There are no restrictions as to where or when your image was taken except that the image must not have been previously exhibited at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center and the main subject must be a flower or flowers.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

Entry Fee:$25

  • You may submit up to four (4) images!
  • Images must be of a flower or flowers.
  • Images must be original work.
  • No restrictions on the age or date of the photographs.
  • Images must be new to the Roswell Cultural Arts Center and Roswell Visual Arts Center. Images previously exhibited in these venues are not eligible.
  • All images will be cleared by the City of Roswell

Participants will be notified by email of the juried-in selections.

SUBMISSION FORM FOR RPS FLOWER SHOW!

Juried-in pictures must meet the following guidelines:

  • Works may be printed on paper, wood, metal glass etc.
  • If the image is framed:
    • Frames may be any color, of professional quality, with hanging wire attached to the frame molding sides
    • Framed images must be matted in black or white with 1.5” or wider mat.
  • Size: Perimeter length (total length around all four sides of the piece), including frame if any, must be at least 50”. For example a 14×11” piece is 50” (14+14+11+11)
  • Images must have a hanging wire securely attached to the frame, not the backing. Hooks, clips, Velcro, or other hanging mechanisms are not allowed.
  • All works must have the Artist’s Name, contact information (phone number), Title of the piece, and Selling Price (or “Not For Sale”) securely attached to the back of the image. 
  • Roswell Photographic Society reserves the right to disallow any image not prepared as described.

Awards

  • There will be cash awards for First through Third place.
  • Awards will be announced around 7pm at the reception. Awards not picked up at the reception may picked up at the Roswell Visual Arts Center’s office during regular business be hours within 30 days of the close of the Show (10-4, Tue-Fri). Awards not claimed during that time will become the property of the Roswell Photographic Society.

Sales: Exhibited photographs may be offered for sale at the artist’s discretion. There is a 30% commission on all sales.

Rights: The artists retain all rights to their works.

Liability: Care will be taken in handling and securing images. However, The City of Roswell, Roswell Visual Arts Center, Roswell Recreation and Parks Department, and Roswell Photographic Society and any of their representatives assume no responsibility for loss or damage to the work.

Our Judge: Jeff Milsteen

Jeff has been an avid photographic enthusiast for over 30 years.  His work has been featured in numerous national and regional publications and exhibitions, and most recently in a solo exhibition at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta entitled “Shuttered: The Art of Abandoned Places.”  He is a past president and five-time Photographer of the Year of the Southeastern Photographic Society, and a frequent speaker and judge for photography clubs in the greater metro Atlanta area.  In addition, Jeff is an instructor on photography-related subjects at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Emory University.  Jeff’s work can be seen on his website at milsteen.smugmug.com.
