We are excited to announce the 28th Annual RPS Open Juried Exhibit at the Roswell Visual Arts Center, located inside Roswell Area Park, 10495 Woodstock Rd, Roswell, GA 30075
This exhibit is open to all photographers, not just Roswell Photographic Society (RPS) members. As a juried competition, a judge will review the entries and select the images to be placed in the exhibit.
There will be cash awards in each of four categories:

Non-Members–$40.00
- You may submit up to six (6) images!
- Images must be original work.
- No restrictions on the age or date of the photographs.
- Images must be new to the RPS Open Juried Exhibit. Images previously exhibited in this event are not eligible. .
Participants will be notified by email of jury selections.
Juried-in images must meet the following guidelines:
- Works may be printed on paper, wood, metal glass etc.
- If the image is framed:
- Frames may be any color, of professional quality (no plastic), with hanging wire attached to the frame molding sides
- Framed images must be matted in black or white with 1.5” or wider mat.
- Size: Perimeter length (total length around all four sides of the piece), including frame if any, must be at least 50”. For example a 14×11” piece is 50” (14+14+11+11)
- Images must have a hanging wire securely attached to the frame, not the backing. Hooks, clips, Velcro, or other hanging mechanisms are not allowed.
- All works must have the Artist’s Name, contact information (phone number), Title of the piece, Image Category and Selling Price (or “Not For Sale”) securely attached to the back of the image.
- Roswell Photographic Society reserves the right to disallow any image not prepared as described above.

- There will be cash awards for First through Third place in each category. Honorable Mentions may also be noted depending on the number of entries per category.

- Awards will be announced at the 6:30pm October 18 reception. Awards not picked up at the reception may be picked up at the Roswell Visual Arts Center’s office during regular business hours within 30 days of the close of the Show (10-4, Tue-Fri). Awards not claimed during that time will become the property of the Roswell Photographic Society.
Sales: Exhibited photographs may be offered for sale at the artist’s discretion. There is a 30% commission on all sales.
Rights: The artists retain all rights to their works.

We’re honored to have Steve Steinman serve as our Judge this year. Steve received his B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design and Pratt Institute (where he taught before moving to Atlanta). He received his doctorate from Capella University. Steve was the Dean of the School of Design for the American InterContinental University for thirty-three years. He has exhibited his work in galleries and museums both across the country and abroad such as: The Museum of Contemporary Art, Atlanta, Georgia, The Hunter Museum of American Art, Chattanooga, Tennessee, The Centro Cultural De Buenos Aires, Buenos Aries, Argentina, American Cultural Center, New Delhi, India, The American Center, Mumbai India, Elvehjem Museum of Art, Madison, Wisconsin, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, New York, The Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans and Thomas Deans Fine Art gallery in Atlanta.
