2026 Spring Exhibit Winners Slideshow
We are excited to announce the 12th Annual RPS Spring Exhibit and Competition featuring Birds and Flowers. The exhibit will be held at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, located near Roswell City Hall at 950 Forrest St. Roswell, GA 30076
This is a juried exhibit is open to Roswell Photographic Society Members.

Current RPS members may submit up to 4 photos for a single entry fee of $30. This exhibit will be juried by an outside judge and participants will be notified as to which images are selected for inclusion in the show.
This year we have a category for flowers and a category for birds. You can select the applicable category for each of your submitted pictures.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:
Entry Fee:$30
- You may submit up to four (4) images!
- Image subject must be one or more flowers and/or birds.
- Images must be original work.
- Images must be new to the Roswell Cultural Arts Center and Roswell Visual Arts Center. Images previously exhibited in these venues are not eligible.
- All entries will be reviewed by the City of Roswell Exhibition Committee for appropriateness. The Committee reserves the right to reject any artwork that at their sole discretion is deemed unsuitable for any reason. Artwork must be appropriate for all ages. In general, images that depict or describe violence, adult themes, drug use, full frontal nudity or controversial subject matter will be disallowed.
- Participants will be notified by email of the juried-in selections.
Juried-in pictures must meet the following guidelines:
- Works may be printed on paper, wood, metal glass etc.
- Size: Perimeter length (total length around all four sides of the piece), including frame if any, must be at least 50”. For example a 14×11” piece is 50” (14+14+11+11)
- If the image is framed:
- Frames may be any color, of professional quality, with a hanging wire attached to the frame.
- Framed images must be matted in black or white with 1.5” or wider mat.
- Images must have a hanging wire securely attached to the frame, not the backing. Hooks, clips, Velcro, or other hanging mechanisms are not allowed.
- All works must have the Artist’s Name, contact information (phone number), Title of the piece, and Selling Price (or “Not For Sale”) securely attached to the back of the image.
- Roswell Photographic Society reserves the right to disallow any image not prepared as described above.

Awards:
- There will be cash awards for First through Third place in each category.
- Awards will be announced around 7pm at the reception.
Sales: Exhibited photographs may be offered for sale at the artist’s discretion. There is no commission on sales from this exhibit.
Rights: Unless the photograph is sold, the artists retain all rights to their works.

Liability: Care will be taken in handling and securing images. However, The City of Roswell, Roswell Visual Arts Center, Roswell Recreation and Parks Department, and Roswell Photographic Society and any of their representatives assume no responsibility for loss or damage to the work.
Judge: Eric Bowles
Eric Bowles is an Atlanta based commercial photographer specializing in the Southeastern United States. His specialty areas include nature, equestrian, events, sports, and bird photography. His work has been published in magazines, newspapers, and commercial publications. He is a regular speaker and judge at conferences and camera organizations with presentations on a wide range of topics. He is trained in photography judging by PPA, and has judged for PPA Texas, the Booth Museum Photography Guild, NANPA, and a wide range of camera clubs and competitions.
Eric leads workshops for intermediate and experienced photographers through his own programs as well as through Nikonians.org as Director of Nikonians Academy. In addition, Eric is a frequent instructor for Chattahoochee Nature Center and Birds Georgia (formerly Georgia Audubon). Custom instruction and tours are available on request for select southeastern destinations including the Great Smoky Mountains, Okefenokee, and Coastal Georgia.
Eric’s non-profit work includes a leadership role as moderator for Nikonians.org and Backcountry Gallery Forums. He is past Board member for NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association) and a past Board member and President of Georgia Nature Photography Association. Eric and his wife Liz contribute pet photography Canine Pet Rescue.
Eric is a member and supporter of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), NANPA (North American Nature Photographers Association), GNPA (Georgia Nature Photography Association), CNPA (Carolinas Nature Photography Association), Chattahoochee Nature Center, Audubon, and BirdsGeorgia.
