Join us for this opportunity to photograph many wildflowers in the Shirley Miller Wildflower trail in Northwest Georgia. It is about a 2-hour drive from our area. The area is called “The Pocket” and the entire walk is approximately a mile, including a portion at the end of the boardwalk that takes you to a waterfall at the end of the trail.
There are approximately 50 species of wildflowers that can be seen and photographed from the boardwalk and trail. Information about the trail can be found HERE.
Members can meet up between 9:30-10:00 am at the site (arrange your own transportation); however, feel free to go at any other time as the morning temps will be in the 40s and it is expected to be in 60s later.
ALSO, it is advised to purchase a Fish and Game license online or at a Walmart in their sporting goods department. If you are 65 and older, it is free, but you need a license for your car window.
