Gallery from Savoy Car Museum Field Trip
Located in Cartersville, the Savoy Automobile Museum is a world class facility that features changing exhibits and educational programs for people that appreciate the beauty and history of automobiles.
During our visit on August 8, we expect to see the following exhibitions:
- From Stock Cars to Race Cars (Seven Generations of NASCAR racecars)
- The Mighty 300 (Chrysler 300 from 1955 to 1961)
- Jeep: From War to America’s Weekend Warrior
- American Treasures: Cars on the National Historic Registry
- Their wonderful permanent collection of fine cars.
What: Savoy Automobile Museum, touring their temporary and permanent exhibit

We will meet in front if the museum at 9:45am for a group photo. The museum opens at 10:00am.
For those carpooling, meet at the Marta Parking Lot at GA400 Exit 8 at 08:30am.

Admission: Non-Members: $17.00 + tax; No charge for Savoy Museum members
Food: We can have lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area or at their cafeteria.
Photography Tips: A fast standard zoom will be a good choice. In the past I had also fun with a fast primes like 20mm, 35mm or 85mm. They will only allow very small bags inside the museum. Larger bags and backpacks may have to be stored in their locker room.
You are allowed to take images for personal use, except where prohibited as marked. Flashes, selfie sticks, monopods, and tripods are prohibited. Flashlight use, including one on a phone, is not allowed. Photographs cannot be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever.
