For September, the theme is Patterns, and the Guest Judge will be Phil Bekker.

REMEMBER: You may submit one image for digital and another for print if you want.  The print and digital images must be different.  This is a non-vintage review.  Images must have been taken within the last 18 months.

All image submissions are due by 4 PM on Sunday, 9/2/2018

About Our Judge, Phil Bekker

Phil Bekker was born and raised in the British colony of Rhodesia, now known as Zimbabwe. He studied commercial photography in both South Africa ( 4 yrs at the Durban Institute of Technology and 1 yr at The London College of Printing ). After immigrating to the United States in 1986, he completed his MFA at Vermont College of Fine Art.

During a 31 year academic career, he lectured and spent five years as Department Chair and wrote the first BFA in Photography program for the EDMC group. His students were featured in countless Graphis New Talent annuals, winning many and often achieving the most awards in countless annuals. Phil’s work has appeared in 24 separate Graphis publications, including Graphis Photo, Poster, Nudes, Selections and cover quotes and editorials in New Talent annuals.

Widely published and exhibited, Phil Bekker now concentrates on both commercial and fine-art work. He has his work in many national and international collections, including Polaroid International Collection, Saks Fifth Avenue, Hyatt Group Paris and UPS consulting, to name a few.
