Bring your camera, favorite lens, tripod or any photography gear that you would like to share, talk about, learn about, or ask other photographers for help with settings or operations. Use the social time to “talk photography” with other members… have fun, enjoy!!
Speaker: Michael A. Schwarz
Michael A. Schwarz has been a full-time professional photographer for more than 40 years. He lived in Maryland, New York, Illinois, and Texas before deciding to make Atlanta his home. Over that time, he has worked for newspapers, magazines, corporations, NGOs, universities and has been featured in books and exhibitions around the world.
A strong believer in continuing education, Michael is on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar and the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). He does corporate training and teaches private workshops, college classes and was a featured speaker of The Nikon School for 15 years.
During his talk, Michael will show a series of his favorite images and reveal the equipment, settings, planning, intent, and process involved in each image. Special attention will be paid to choosing the right equipment, lighting, and moment to help achieve a very intentional vision for each photo, answering the questions, “how and why did you do that?”
